New Open WRT based firmware for Wodaplug EOC slave with WiFi EOC1121R4WL

there are two versions of SW for this device - first generation (version 1,1 and 1,5) was base don Atheros SDK - development kit.

because of some limitations and many improvement requests, we developped new version of this device based on OpenWRT.

this firmware is for this new OpenWRT based devices only (older versio 1,3 or newer version 2.0x - with default IP 192.168.1.1)

upgrading instructions and actual image file pls found in thsi directory

do not use them for older Atheros SDK based devices (with default IP 192.168.10.1)


whats new :

Some customer need we developed some new function to support their business. The old WIFI module (We called it DWL4M) is designed based the Atheros SDK.
It has some limit in software function developing. So we start a new WIFI project (We called it W1014MA.
Although  it has the some interface as before DWL4M, it can plug in our EOC slave or WIFI ONU product to replace the DWL4M.
But the hardware has some optimal to raise the First Pass Yield. The software changed to base on OPENWRT. 

1) Configuration difference:
 
In Old version , if the WIFI configure on bridge mode, the PC can’t access the WIFI management WEB page again. It can’t fix in the old version.
 
In the new version, if the WIFI configure on bridge mode, you still can access the WIFI management WEB page on LAN.
 
In old version, VLAN must enable on bridge mode.  In new version, VLAN is not required.
 
 
2) Added function
 
We add the TR069 function to meet some customer requirement.
 
 

corrective and preventive action:

- New version of W1014MA WIFI module will use V2.0.1 as version NO. to different from the old DWL4M version.

- V2.0.01 have some major changes in the configuration process. Pls read WIFI Slave Quick Start Guide-1.1 for reference



By the way, there is no changes on the CPU and switching chipset, wifi EOC slave details as below;
